Occupational Therapy

CHM’s occupational therapy service supports children and adults to develop independence, participation, and confidence in the everyday activities they need and want to do.

We provide goal-directed assessment and therapeutic intervention across a range of life areas, including:

  • Self-care skills, including dressing, toileting, bathing, and daily routines.
  • Emotional regulation and coping skills.
  • Fine motor skills, including handwriting, using cutlery, and scissor skills.
  • Adaptive equipment prescription and adjustment.
  • Manual handling support and education.
  • Functional Capacity Assessments.
  • Sensory processing and sensory regulation.
  • Environmental modifications.
  • Executive functioning skills, including planning, memory, organisation, and concentration.

Our occupational therapy services can be delivered in the environment that best supports your goals, whether that is in our clinic, at home, at school, or within the community.

We recognise the importance of collaboration and work closely with families, teachers, support workers, and other health professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes.

We can begin with a comprehensive assessment or commence therapy immediately, depending on your needs and goals.

Fee schedule and funding options

This fee schedule is relative to privately funded clients only. Individuals with NDIS funding or other supports will continue to be charged as per the current price guide and dependent on actual time taken.

Assessments

Please note, additional sessions to complete additional or complex assessments may be required. This will be discussed with you at time of booking or at your initial appointment.

As well as doing functional capacity assessments, we can also do SIL and SDA assessment and reporting.
